When Ódinn begins to investigate deaths that occurred at Krókur juvenile treatment center in the 1980s, strange events begin to shake up his daily life as well as his and his teenage daughter’s. But are these related to the tragedy that took place at the treatment center, or do they have something to do with the suicide of his ex wife a few months earlier? While Óðinn digs deeper into these mysteries, we are given a glimpse at what happened at Krókur in 1984 from the perspective of Aldís, a young maid who works there. Aldís falls for Einar, a new boy who has arrived at the home without anyone knowing why. At the same time as he arrives, Aldís begins to feel like someone is watching her from outside. Could Krókur be haunted, or is there something more sinister at play?
