The sound engineer MARRIT works at a successful TV-station about to broadcast the comeback of the vintage classic talk show, ‘NAILED WITH THE HAMMER’, with the ironic ERIK HAMMER as host. The true crime podcast phenomenon, LOTUS, is the special guest of the night, and will show her true identity for the first time in public. As she enters the show and starts telling true-crime stories, a copycat killer stalks her phone, which she forgot while being mic’ed up by Marrit. Marrit discovers the horrific texts from the stalker, following a livestream video of him torturing a victim, mimicking Lotus’ live stories. Marrit calls a police officer she has a history with, and flashbacks of the past starts materialising pieces to the puzzle until both past, present and future proves to be connected in a tragical and melancholy fashion. The death of one person will make the numbers of the show skyrocket, and the ultimate price that, will ultimately secure the ultimate payoff for everyone but the dead.
